Global Webinar Series: Knowledge-Sharing Among Conflict Sensitivity Hubs

In 2021, a pilot initiative supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) explored the feasibility of establishing a Conflict Sensitivity Hub (CSH) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A global mapping of existing hubs helped identify key models, features, and lessons learned, confirming the potential value of establishing a CSH in the DRC.

Building on this, the FCDO has continued supporting conflict sensitivity technical facilities worldwide. Following an initial online exchange in 2022, this webinar series comes at a critical moment to reflect on progress, share experiences, and consider the future of Conflict Sensitivity Hubs in a rapidly evolving global context.

📅

From 23–26 March 2026, a four-day global webinar series will bring together CSH coordinators, implementing partners, and technical experts to exchange experiences, consolidate learning, and discuss forward-looking strategies for conflict sensitivity support across the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding (HDP) nexus.

 Objectives

This series aims to strengthen the effectiveness, relevance, and sustainability of Conflict Sensitivity Hubs globally by:

  • Facilitating exchange of experiences on operational models, methodologies, and impact measurement
  • Identifying enabling factors and barriers to mainstreaming conflict sensitivity across the HDP nexus
  • Exploring sustainable, locally owned governance and financing models for CSHs
  • Supporting strategic reflection on how hubs can navigate shrinking donor space and evolving political contexts

 Expected Outcomes

Participants will work towards:

  • A shared understanding of effective and innovative practices across CSH models
  • Practical insights on measuring the impact of conflict sensitivity initiatives
  • Clearer articulation of sustainable and locally owned hub models
  • Stronger connections between CSHs, donors, and partners
  • Identification of common challenges and strategies to address them
  • Increased visibility of conflict sensitivity as a critical pillar of effective HDP programming

Format: Webinar

Session length: 1–2 hours
