Session 4 – Conflict Sensitivity and Conflict Integration, by USAID & Alliance for Peacebuilding
13 October 2022, 16.00 – 17.30 (CET)
USAID has been working with the concept of ‘conflict integration’ as a way of improving the effectiveness of its interventions, of all kinds, on fragile and conflict-affected places. This session will involve a presentation followed by discussion, on what motivated USAID to adopt a renewed push towards conflict integration, which problems it may help to solve and which opportunities it holds, and how it relates to conflict sensitivity. The session will also touch on how conflict integration relates to peacebuilding efforts, Humanitarian-Development-Peace coherence, and other major policy agendas. Julie Werbel, Division Chief for Leadership and Learning at USAIDs Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization, will present followed by a Q&A session. This is a joint session between the US Conflict Sensitivity and Integration Working Group and the CSC Hub.
Speaker: Julie Werbel, Division Chief for Leadership and Learning at USAID’s Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization
